Make Challenge Work FOR You With Witchcraft and Shadow Work

Ready to redefine challenge through witchcraft and shadow work?

Doing so will allow you to discover that challenge is a powerful mechanism YOU manifest. Not to make things difficult for yourself. No – the purpose of challenge is to create intuitive “leadlines” in life. Leadlines are ropes or reigns used in horse shows to help guide younger riders through a course. Challenges are identical. They are a vehicle for self-intimacy and they materialize to lead us in the right direction – towards ourselves.

I believe our main goal is to live as we are.

You and I have manifested in a very particular way for a very particular reason.  We are meant to live as ourselves for the world.  Our natural state of being is unique.  No one else is just like you and no one else is just like me.  Loving ourselves, listening to our Inner Knowing, and expressing ourselves without question allows us to bring something to the table that no one else has or will ever have.

It is vital that you understand that you are a gift to the world.  No one else has the same energy or flavor as you. Allow yourself to live in accordance with this truth and create a deep relationship with your Intuition.

I look at Intuition as a magickal code we carry within our hearts and often refer to it as the Inner Creator or Inner Artist. I believe expressing this code in the third dimension (sharing and experiencing it) is the purpose of our existence.  Our magickal code speaks to us through our dreams, our hopes, our desires, and our wishes.  It speaks through feelings, thoughts, and (you guessed it) challenges, too.

SECRET DOORWAYS.

Challenges are leadlines that guide us where we want to be. They are secret doorways that deliver us into the deepest parts of ourselves, allowing us to fully connect with our code and its energetic preferences.  To make this simple, I’ll give you an example of how an IRL challenge led me to profound intimacy with myself.

I had a difficult boss.  

I’m talking super difficult.  

He had a very rigid and explosive energy that created a lot of turmoil in the office.  Two of my co-workers quit. They couldn’t handle working with him.  My other boss (who started the company) never came into the office. One guess as to why.

After a few (horrific) months, I decided to get creative with a little witchcraft and shadow work.  This is where things got interesting.  My guides encouraged me to “read his energy” and to do it without apology.  They wanted me to be very candid about what I was feeling from him. 

I sat and wrote down what I felt:

Rigid. Hard. Iron. Sharp. Caustic. 

As I read through the keywords, I began to notice that they were actually positive. 

• Rigid is positive if you’re building a deck. 
• Hard is positive if you’re having sex. 
• Iron is positive if you’re creating jewelry.
• Sharp is positive if you’re cutting an apple.
• Caustic is positive if you’re shooting a bottle rocket.

The energies were all prosperous, they were simply being expressed in situations where they didn’t belong. 

Through this witchcraft and shadow work practice, I realized that my intuition delivered this message through my emotions. It let me know that other energies were required if I wanted to feel good. It is my birthright to feel good and I decided to figure out what energies were required and invoke them.

This is where I’ll teach you to make challenge work FOR you!! 🤣

If a challenge emerges, sit with its energy. Recognize what you feel. If you feel like someone is being shallow, trying to repress your magick, or trying to keep you from speaking your truth, this is a cue from your Intuition to build intimacy with yourself. 

Here’s an example:

If you think someone is being shallow, consider that you are not against being shallow in life. Being shallow is good in some instances. In baking, you may use a shallow bowl for some recipes and a deep bowl for others. Here, your intuition is asking you to come into deep communion with YOUR preference. To recognize that you prefer depth in this scenario. This does not mean that you require the other person to be deep. It means you understand your wants and you can take action to make them a reality.

With my boss, I recognized gentleness as required energy. The energy was like a skeleton key. It opened a doorway in me and it opened a doorway in him. I realized that he had never received this kind of energy before—everything in his life had been rigid, hard, iron, sharp, and caustic. Gentleness was foreign to him. By giving it to myself, I gave it to him, too. 

Interesting side note: we became friends! I would often hang out in his office chatting about different things or watching silly videos on YouTube. This is the beauty of shadow work and alchemy. Concentrate your energy on what you desire and conflict is equalized.
